FAQs about Olive and the Larder
Is Olive and the Larder a kid’s book? For what ages?
Yes! While we call it an all-ages storybook, it’s perfect to read to toddlers, or for children from 6-7 years old to read by themselves. We hope it becomes one of those books that children remember with fondness as they grow older.
Why is it called an ‘all-ages storybook’?
We hope to encourage more grown-ups (even those without kids in their lives) to embrace the joy of beautiful storybooks. The gorgeous illustrations and simple heartwarming tale offer an uplifting retreat that anyone can enjoy.
Is it really made in Australia?
It sure is. Conceived and written in Sydney, illustrated in Newcastle, printed in Perth, then hand-finished back in Sydney. It is truly an artisanal, limited-edition product, unlike the many mass-produced storybooks in the marketplace.
Who made the book?
Bianca Tzatzagos is the author. She is a copywriter and former magazine journalist based in Sydney, Australia. This is her first book. The beautiful watercolour illustrations are by Inga Campbell. The book is printed and bound in Australia by Scott Print.
Will there be more books in the series?
That’s still to be decided, but with any luck yes! Be sure to follow @oliveandthelarder on Instagram to keep in touch with Olive and encourage her future adventures.
