I've been making one-of-a-kind art houses and Advent calendars for nearly a decade now, and 2026 is my most extensive collection to date. Through the years, my Advents have been purchased as indulgences of total whimsy for fellow collectors, armchair travellers and kindred spirits who delight in the miniature scale, imagination, daily surprise and beauty of these unique curations.

Price is for 1 potting shed - there are 2 different options to choose from: one with the step ladder, or one with the rusty watering can. There are many more slight variations between each shed as shown in the photographs/videos.

This Miniature Potting Shed is an Advent calendar of standard doll's house scale. The contents have been meticulously chosen by me to complement the rustic shed I have painstakingly constructed using a mix of salvaged and found materials. I have fashioned these structures after classic garden follies, inspired by one of my great design inspirations, Bunny Mellon. The potting shed, with its individually laid painted wood chequerboard floors, shingled wood roofs, real seashell accents, metal chimneys and stone-clad, ivy-strewn walls, are evocative of a storybook garden or dream country estate. 

Measuring about 25cm high, they are diminutive enough to tuck into a bookshelf or display cabinet, or even under a glass cloche.

Each comes with 25 individually giftwrapped and numbered miniatures to bring your miniature potting shed to life. Open one as a delightful surprise each day throughout December (or however you choose to enjoy it). 

At the end of your unboxing experience you will have your own richly detailed miniature room box. Use these photos as your styling guide if you wish, and you can always add more miniatures of your own.

All the contents you'll receive are photographed here, but I have deliberately resisted detailing them to enhance the surprise, as I find most often these Advents are purchased for personal enjoyment.

Rest assured, the value of each piece is far beyond anything you would find in a more mass-produced or generic 'luxury' Advent calendar. Think real terracotta, wicker, wood, metal, shell and stone.  

Note: all my Advent Calendars are designed for adult collectors and are not suitable as gifts for young children as they contain small parts, fragile materials, and true vintage and handcrafted finds.

Some of the pieces do carry small imperfections, reflective of their vintage or antique condition and in some cases handmade character.
