I've been making one-of-a-kind art houses and Advent calendars for nearly a decade now, and 2026 is my most extensive collection to date. Through the years, my Advents have been purchased as indulgences of total whimsy for fellow collectors, armchair travellers and kindred spirits who delight in the miniature scale, imagination, daily surprise and beauty of these unique curations.

As its name suggests, this Miniaturist's Advent House is a perfect gift for a the miniature collector, to accessorise an existing or future doll's house.

This Advent comes presented in a house-shaped shelf I have personally handcrafted by upcycling a piece of an old German wooden hygrometer attached to a mini shelf, adding some real glass windows and hand-painting the lot, including some ivy climbing up the walls. I've added curtains using some beautiful ribbon I bought in France maybe 2 decades ago, and a little metal pelmet inside.

The miniature contents are curated to suit a standard doll's house scale, or 1:12 scale. Boxed and gift-wrapped and numbered from 1-25, there is one to open every day of December, including Christmas Day (or however you choose to enjoy it). The miniaturised experience will be akin to a shopping spree of vintage shops, kitchen shops and fleamarkets around the globe, with little hint of Christmas as the 25th approaches. 

There is a mix of contemporary pieces and vintage finds, such as the tiny brass fan, real glass canisters, copper pots sourced in the UK, miniature ceramics, plus plenty more surprises and tiny treasures.

A truly memorable gift for a like-minded collector, who will savour the joy and surprise of opening a new find each day for nearly a whole month.

All the contents you'll receive are photographed here, but I have deliberately resisted detailing them further to enhance the surprise, as I find most often these Advents are purchased for personal enjoyment.
