There is some glazing missing on the inside which you can see in the photos, this appears to be a manufacturing imperfection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHandpainted and probably European, most likely Italian, with a mark on the base that reads 629\/2. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy favourite feature are the ribbon-like handles on each side in the perfect blue trim.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI am no expert but this lovely quality piece looks like the style of majolica or faience similar to Italian maker Castelli - something that might have been picked up on holidays sometime in the 20th century. Unfortunately I have no history or provenance to provide.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproximately 14cm diameter with a loose fitting lid.
