Antique Brown Wedgwood Jasperware Stoneware Lidded Dish
The most perfect beige coloured jasperware for an all-beige larder.
This is a rare and desirable piece of genuine antique Wedgwood as you can see from the stamp on the base. Suspect it dates from the 1800s but I am not an expert and am unable to verify.
Wonderful heavy stone. Double handles, with some small nibbles, and a chip on the inside lid that is invisible when the lid is in place. See photos for details as they form an important part of the condition description.
A classic and traditional lidded sugar pot, but would also function beautifully as a trinket dish for decor on your coffee table or for keeping your stash of wrapped sweets handy but concealed.
