You don't have to do much research online to find other examples of these absolute beauties and see how valuable they are! 

These are vintage majolica knife rests from the French region of Vallauris.

I do have the full set of 12, but am only selling in a set of 6 here, so you'll receive one of each vegetable. There is a turnip, carrot, mushroom, pumpkin, eggplant and cabbage.

I am keeping the other identical set of 6 for myself because they make the most perfect chopstick rests.

Unfortunately they did not come with the original case.

They date from the 1950s and are in excellent condition.

These knife rests are highly collectable now for their beautiful craftsmanship and stunning colour palette. Also, what's not to love about miniature ceramic vegetables?

A marvellous addition to any place setting.  

This is one of my all-time favourite vintage finds and I suggest snapping them up quickly before I change my mind and keep the lot.
